Shah Rukh Khan shared his heart last night on reception of National Yash Chopra Memorial Award. SRK Is Now The Fourth Actor To Be Honoured With The Yash Chopra Memorial Award.
“I had no family when I came to Mumbai, Bollywood adopted me”, Superstar Shah Rukh Khan shared his heart last night on reception of National Yash Chopra Memorial Award. He talked about the day he came to Mumbai, he had lost his mother, father, and sister. He was completely alone having no family but when he came to Bollywood he was welcomed with open arms.
“I am thankful to the file industry that adopted me, an orphan and loved so much, today I have a big family of billion members and all loving”, he said. Chopra’s wife, Pamela aunty served as a surrogate mother for me and as everyone who works with Yash knows he is like his child. I feel proud by working with him maximum number of times including his last movie.
“I have been working for the last 25 years and all I know is to wear make-up in the morning and do my job of acting… Sometimes I get it right more often than not get it wrong”, was his words showing him more devotional to his job and the reason behind success of course.
The star has worked together with the Yash Raj banner to deliver several super hit movies including ‘DilTohPagalHai‘, ‘Darr‘, ‘Veer Zaara‘, ‘Jab TakHaiJaan‘ and shares equally warm relationship with Chopra’s wife, Pamela.
For him it was one of the most important moments of his life he included in his speech.He saind that being honest, it is because as he said in the beginning with the set of people who are here talking nice things about me, showing me a documentary of my works, none was possible if it wasn’t for all the love, kindness, gentleness and enthusiasm that everyone have given me whenever he meet them.
The award – whose previous recipients were Lata Mangeshkar, Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha.
