About The Author

B Srilakshmi, MSc., MEd., MPhil. is presently working with Indira Gandhi National Open University as Programme-in-Charge for MSc.

She has a long distinguished teaching experience at SVT College of Home Science, SNDT University, Mumbai and at Anna Adarsh College for Women, Chennai. Srilakshmi was pioneer in writing textbooks on Dietetics, Food Science and Nutrition Science for BSc. students in the Indian context. She has authored many books like ‘Human Nutrition’, ‘Exercise Physiology, Fitness and Sports Nutrition’.

Every year ‘Ms. Srilakshmi endowment lectures’ are conducted at Anna Adarsh College for Women for the benefit of students. She is regularly honored by different Colleges and Hospitals for her contribution to the field of Food Science, Nutrition and Dietetics.
